Northern Nevada Mensa is an Organization for Smart People, Like You!
As a member, you have the opportunity to meet other smart people at local, regional and national levels. You can attend entertaining, intellectually stimulating events and exchange ideas with others through a variety of publications, including our local monthly newsletter the Neva-Mind, and our online Community. You can also work to help others in your community by volunteering for community-oriented activities and working with the Mensa Foundation. How Can I Meet and Interact with Other Mensa Members?
Activities are scheduled almost weekly on the Northern Nevada Mensa calendar. Locally, these activities range from tours to guest speakers to parties. Northern Nevada Mensa schedules get-togethers around interests such as foreign food or movies, or schedule get-togethers for members in their neighborhoods. Members also have the opportunity to attend regional and national gatherings that provide opportunities to meet other Mensans from across the U.S. and around the world. Members also interact online through our Community and more than 150 national special interest groups.
Mensa is a Non-profit Social Club with Exactly One Eligibility Criterion
You must have achieved a score in the top 2% on any of a number of standardized intelligence tests. Mensa's constitution specifies the society's three purposes are:
